Kommineni Seshagiri Rao passes away

Veteran Telugu film director, Kommineni Seshagiri Rao has passed away on Friday morning in Chennai. Ha had been suffering from a chronic disease for the past few years and has been admitted in a hospital in Chennai a few days back. His died at an age of 67.
Seshagiri Rao’s native place is a remote village named ‘Ponnekallu’ in Guntur district. Very few people outside the industry know him as the brother of popular music director Chakravarthy. This is because he never wanted to sell himself using his brother’s name.
He made his debut in the film industry as an actor and has acted in the male lead ina film named ‘Goppavaari Gotraalu’. He then acted in various other roles in more than 50 films and finally turned director with the movie ‘Devathalaara Deevinchandi’. Apart from Telugu, he also directed movies in other Indian languages like Tamil and Kannad.
