Laya is one of the very few Telugu actresses in the Telugu film Industry, which is primarily dominated by ladies from the Bollywood or Koliwood. Even Laya was not very successful compared to her counterparts, but had a decent career. Two years back she married an NRI and left to the United States. She was away from the media in these two years and very few people know that she gave birth to a baby (a girl named Sloka).

Now Laya is planning to come back into the glamor field. This time it is not through movies but the Television field. It was reported that she signed with the Eenadu Television network to host a singing competition. However, this is not just any other singing competition. This competition is named ‘Black’ and what makes it different from any other television shows in the country is the fact that, all the competitors will be visually impaired. The choice of Laya for this program has a reason. Laya  played the role of a visually impaired girl in a film named ‘Preminchu’ which was critically acclaimed.

So, lets wish Laya all the best in her new career path.
